Jon Bertain is an Editor, Producer, Director, and Writer. He is an Academy-Award winning Editor best known for his work on the 2017 documentary ICARUS, featuring the Russian whistleblower who exposed a state-sponsored Olympic Games doping conspiracy. 

 

Jon's contributions as a creative lead on the Oscar winner led to his work on the ICARUS sequel, expanded contracts with major studios and networks, in addition to the critically-acclaimed documentary VOYEUR. With vast experience managing a team of creative professionals, Jon is regarded by Netflix Originals as a go-to collaborator for multiple projects, and personalities, in need of a fresh approach.

 

Though many of his credits are in the documentary genre, Jon is no stranger to narrative, having multiple series and features slated for production in 2022 and beyond. Jon also has extensive experience in entertainment sales and marketing, directing upfront presentations for NBC, and producing dozens of theatrical film trailers for which he won Key Art Awards.
